Para la administración y control del medio ambiente de la región la CVC dividió el departamento en ocho Direcciones Ambientales Regionales (DAR). Las cuales son las encargadas de intervenir directamente en el territorio. Dichas sedes ejercen la función de máxima autoridad ambiental en el área de su jurisdicción, de acuerdo con las normas de carácter superior conforme a los criterios y directrices trazadas en la sede principal. <\/SPAN><\/P>
